How to Create an App Password for Email Integration

Edited

What is an app password?

An app password, also known as an “application-specific password,” is a long series of randomized characters generated by your email system that grants specific third-party applications (like your dealer system) the ability to integrate and communicate with your email account.

This password is essentially your dealer system's one-of-a-kind knock on the door of your email provider that allows your dealer system integration to remain intact and secure.

Though not difficult to setup, the process of generating app passwords varies depending on your particular email system. To simplify the process, we’ve gathered up the instructions for doing so from a few of the leading email providers.
